Creating a protein-packed snack that tastes incredible doesn’t happen by accident. At Misfits we carefully select every ingredient to ensure the perfect balance of flavor, texture, and nutrition.

Shea Butter

Natural moisturizer loved for its ability to soften and hydrate skin. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe irritation and redness.

Pomegranate

Pomegranates are rich in antioxidants that fight free radicals, which can damage skin cells and contribute to wrinkles.

Vitamins C & E

Vitamin C is a champion for a brighter, more even skin tone. It helps reduce hyperpigmentation and discoloration, leaving you with a radiant look.

Smooth Chocolate

Our bars are double dipped in high quality chocolate, which is tempered for the perfect sheen and snap. Plant-based and low in sugar, but big on indulgence.

Non-GMO Plant Proteins

We select the very best from a range of high quality, non-GMO plant proteins to create a soft texture, neutral flavor and balanced nutrition.  

The primary protein sources we use are pea protein and soy protein, and we sometimes use a little rice protein or fava bean protein in addition. 

Protein Crispies

We create our signature crunch by sprinkling protein crispies between two layers of chocolate, keeping them super crisp over time.

Sweeteners

We use maltitol as the primary sweetener in our bars, alongside a touch of stevia extract to sweeten things up a touch more where necessary. We tested a wide range of sweetener options when creating our bars to find the best replacement for traditional sugar.

Natural Flavors

Flavor compounds derived from plants and used in either liquid or powder forms – we use natural flavors to create our amazing flavors and ensure each bar is consistently delicious.

Protein provides the building blocks for every single cell in your body. It’s essential for growth, maintenance and repair of your entire physique. So, while it might be common knowledge that protein is important for recovery between gym sessions and aids muscle growth, we all need protein everyday irrespective of our exercise regime.   

WHY PROTEIN MATTERS

Banish hunger

Forever hungry and find yourself reaching for snacks every hour? Protein and fiber take longer to digest than simple carbs, which can help keep you satiated for longer and help to stabilise our blood sugar response after eating. A balanced snack or meal containing a portion of protein, some healthy fats, alongside carbohydrates, will pack extra staying power.

Support weight loss

If you want to lose weight, a high protein diet can help to stave off hunger and preserve muscle mass while restricting calories*. Protein helps you feel fuller for longer, which can help to reduce calorie consumption overall (achieving the calorie deficit necessary for weight loss). Your total muscle mass is a key factor for how much energy you burn at rest (aka your base metabolism). By preserving muscle mass you are maintaining your metabolism.

Pro tip: alongside protein, some other essential nutrients play a critical role in promoting healthy skin (omega-3s fatty acids such as DHA and EPA, biotin and vitamin E), hair & nails (zinc, selenium, copper, vitamin C and B vitamins) - you can boost these in your diet through foods or take a supplement.
